ABOUT OUR TEACHERS
SUSAN deWARDT - artist, writer, Life Coach, is one who believes passionately in the power of language and art for personal growth and healing. Through innovative writing and creativity workshops, Susan will show you how to tap inner resources for a richer, more satisfying life experience. A certified instructor for the educational brand workshop Journal to the S*E*L*F, Susan belongs to a select group of people recognized for their expertise in the area of journal writing. Susan is a graduate of the Coach U coach training program and is in her second year of study for certification as an applied poetry facilitator (CAPF) through the National Association of Poetry Therapists.
TINA WEINTRAUB - Tina has been teaching origami for more than 20 years. She is a retired teacher and the co-author of Easy Origami, a Scholastic publication.
MARY LEVINGSTON - Professional painter for over 20 years! Teaches at CMC Alpine Campus for 10 years. Instructor for "Arts for the Soul", art and music workshops. Co-Owner of the " Artists Gallery of Steamboat"
JUDY KENDALL - 30 year resident in South Routt, interested in teaching people how to sew to keep the tradition of quilting alive and well. I have owned my own business, worked for the public schools in various positions, cared for young children and elderly friends. I want to encourage sewers to express themselves creatively with whatever they have to use and to keep learning.
DONA STEELE - a professional artist creating faux finishes & decorative painting on walls, furniture & floor mats. Dona also teaches summer Kaliedoscope art classes for children along with being the coordinator for the yearly “strada d’ Art’ sidewalk painting event. Dona received her degree in Art Education at Florida State University with a minor in constructive design.
TRIGG GERBER - 10 plus years of experience as a professional potter with a flair for creating unique pottery, knowledgeable in all aspects of pottery techniques, glazing, hand building, and more.
KATE HUNTINGTON: Kate began her journey right here at the Steamboat Arts & Crafts Gym. She started taking classes in beginning jewelry and design and has not stopped learning and creating new pieces. Her handiwork is displayed at the Steamboat Arts & Crafts Gym for all to view and purchase.
