What if I am unable to attend a class I have registered for?
If you are not able to attend your class, you may request a refund only if notification is received by the SACG office 72 hours prior to your first class meeting. If the 72 hour requirement is met, a refund will be made, minus a $10.00 processing fee. This refund option is not available if the course is listed as "no refunds” or for classes, seminar and special events not directly sponsored by the SACGym. If you contact the SACGym with less than 72 hours notice, you may request a class credit that can be used toward a future class. A $5 processing fee will be charged reducing your total class credit by $5. The class credit is good for six (6) months from the date of issue and can not be redeemed for cash. The class credit option is not available if the course is listed as "no refunds." In addition, the class credit may be less any materials fees included in the fee of the class.
What can I do with my class credit?
The class credit can be used toward future classes you plan to take. The value of the class credit is applied whenever you register for your next class. In addition, you can transfer your class credit to another individual. Contact the SACGym to arrange for this option.
How long do I have to request a class credit?
You may request a class credit anytime within 30 days after the class. Class credit requests made more than 30 days after the class will not be considered.
What if SACGym cancels or reschedules a class I have registered for?
The SACGym and its instructors are committed to their scheduled classes. We know how frustrating it is to arrange your schedule in anticipation of taking a class, only to have the class cancel. However, if SACGym cancels or reschedules a class, you will be given the option to receive a full refund. The $10 processing fee is waived.
What about inclement weather?
Considering where we live, inclement weather is a reality of daily life. The SACGym does not anticipate canceling classes for inclement weather. However, if the City of Steamboat Springs closes its business offices because of severe weather and/or for a community emergency, SACGym will likely cancel its classes. If you have a question the day your class is scheduled, check the Class Updates on the website or call the SCAGym office (970) 870-0384
What if I am dissatisfied with a class?
The SACGym strives for quality, but cannot be held liable for the content taught by instructors who function as independent contractors. If after completing an SACGym sponsored class, you feel the program was not as described, we will issue you a credit voucher for the course fee plus $10 additional credit to use toward a class of your choice. Your request must be made in writing within seven business days after completing the class and tell us specifically why the class did not meet your expectations. This offer does not apply to trips, tours or classes with more than two consecutive sessions.
NONDISCRIMINATION POLICY: SACG welcome students 17 and over of any race, color, religion, or national and ethnic origin. Children younger than 17 may take a class if it is approved appropriate by the teacher.
Instructors come from the community and are experts in their fields; however, they are not required to have teaching credentials. SACG strives for quality but cannot be held liable for the content taught by instructors who function as independent contractors.
